Benefits from regular Massage

Why is a massage good for relieving tension and stress?

A relaxing massage is the epitome of wellness in New Zealand. It releases tensions and blockages very effectively.

Massages are well known and many people who have them regularly believe that they prevent disease and are part of their way of staying healthy. In New Zealand it has a reputation for pure wellness treatment. However, an effective relaxation massage is much more than just wellness.

The traditional relaxation massage combines methods like calming acupressure, energy work and meditation. It is considered a holistic treatment.

Its roots go back to Ayurvedic healing art, which has its origin in India. It follows the approach of all Eastern healing methods that initially want to release energy blocks in the body.

Many people believe that this is an effective way to prevent a variety of early-stage diseases and prevent them from breaking out. Your general physical performance and well-being are improved, you feel energized and strengthened.

Naturally, it is the deeply relaxing and invigorating effect that ensures that the beneficial effects of a soothing massage last for hours after the treatment and contribute to your well-being.

This is how a relaxing massage works in my studio:

Before each massage, we discuss any health problems and physical complaints. In our first personal interview, I will find out where you may currently have health restrictions.

Based on the history you shared, I will determine how your treatment works best for you. I will take special care of your wishes and needs and pay close attention to them. and structure your massage accordingly. This way you get the best relaxing massage to help with any muscle tension or stress you are feeling.

As my client, you experience massage not only as an external application, but as a holistic therapy that brings you back into balance.

How long does my massage last?

Your massage should preferably take between 60 and 90 minutes to take full advantage of the deepest relaxation and increase your well-being in the long term.

During the massage, I will perform gentle and soothing movements, strokes and energy on your body, focusing in particular on your tense muscles to maximize the therapeutic benefits. I mainly work with my thumb and palm. The combination of gentle movements, soothing massage and deep breathing allows you to experience deep relaxation and regeneration. Your body is recharged with new energy by activating various energy channels.

You have the opportunity to relax completely mentally and emotionally. Blockages and tensions dissolve, the holistic application stimulates the body’s own self-healing and regeneration processes.

Do not be surprised if you fall asleep during your treatment at Relaxation Massage for Women in Kapiti here in Paraparaumu. Many of my customers enjoy a deeply relaxing nap during the massage and wake up completely refreshed in the end.

For Your Information:

Peer-reviewed medical research has shown that the benefits of massage include pain relief*, reduced trait anxiety* and depression*, and temporarily reduced blood pressure*, heart rate*, and state of anxiety*. Additional testing has shown an immediate increase and expedited recovery periods for muscle performance. Theories behind what massage might do include blocking nociception (gate control theory), activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which may stimulate the release of endorphins and serotonin, preventing fibrosisor scar tissue, increasing the flow of lymph, and improving sleep, but such effects are yet to be supported by well-designed clinical studies.

*Pain relief: Relief from pain due to musculo skeletal injuries and other causes is cited as a major benefit of massage. Relaxation massage may be more beneficial than classic Swedish massage in relieving back pain due to the release of endorphin hormones.

*State anxiety: Massage has been shown to reduce state anxiety, a transient measure of anxiety in a given situation.

*Blood pressure and heart rate: Massage has been shown to temporarily reduce blood pressure and heart rate.

*Trait anxiety: Massage has been shown to reduce trait anxiety; a person’s general susceptibility to anxiety.

*Depression: Massage has been shown to reduce sub clinical depression.
